NSC meeting focuses on election security arrangements

5 Nov, Kathmandu (RSS): A meeting of the National Security Council ( NSC) today held discussions focusing on the security arrangements in view of the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies scheduled for November 26 and December 7.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar this evening focused on the discussions about the elections preparations, untoward security challenges and required strategies to cope with such situation.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba urged the chiefs of all security bodies to take all elaborative measures so as to make the elections impartial and peaceful, it is learnt.

Chiefs of Nepalese Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department apprised the meeting about security strategies adopted for the current time and for the twin elections.
